What We Did at Our Lastest Workshop
December 2nd, 2008 | Photography Tips, Seminars & Workshops
We had a blast three Saturdays ago with a sold out crowd of 25 photographers. We didn’t have the best start because 200-300 “One in a Million” hopefuls who were auditioning at the same hotel almost gatecrashed our party. We prevailed nonetheless. Here are the highlights.
We are running this workshop again in January 2009. Sign up before the early bird registration ended on Nov 30, 2008.

Introducing our super hot models, Hong Yi & Melvin!!!

Setting up the cameras for the class

ETTL flash debunked

This is how I do off-camera flash.

One Hong Yi, two looks

On location shoot…this time just outside a shopping center in the city.

Ready, aim, FIRE!

This is the result…

Then we moved to Le Meridien Hotel for another shot.

Mel, in a super hero pose

Let’s go somewhere utterly impossible to shoot…the wet market! John, thanks for hand holding the kicker flash. Great job pal!

The finished product was created with 2 flashes from the right + a kicker light from the back. That’s the beauty of Radiopoppers and TTL flash!

We also tried out night shoot using tungsten and ambient light. We were stopping traffic at Warisan Square.

And the finished product.

Another example of a portable video light can help create some stunning shots.

The video light back in action again
