From Hanoi
August 30th, 2009 | Personal, PortraitsOur first trip to Hanoi has been remarkable. Met some great people in this lovely city and carried out a great shoot today. I am really beat after shooting for much of the afternoon. It is hot and humid…the Vietnamese summer is tough even for a Malaysian.
Shot this with three flashes on the tri-flash holder so that I can get the volume and power to balance that against the afternoon sun. I’ll be heading to KL tomorrow with two days of shooting coming right up.
Just one picture from Hanoi…fresh from today’s shoot. More to come soon!

I’ve always been a big fan of your work. It’s very different and distinctive. I’m just a hobbyist and I start less than a year ago.Although I’m not a fan of portraiture (probably because I’m not good at it), I see your work as an inspiration and hopefully pick up something from your work. Take care and keep it going =)

This is absolutely stunning Louis! Love this one so much.
Is it true that you apply sepia tone for this photo? I kinda love the editing as well. Parfait.
