Breaking the 3-Row Rule

Three rows. That’s the rule of thumb for group photos. Kids in the front row, squatting or sitting. The elders in the middle row, seated. The young ones, yet not too young, take the back row. That’s the defacto group photo arrangement. Well, you know what they say about rules? It’s meant to be broken. Just because our ancestors did it that way, it doesn’t mean we have to do it the same way!

We have been breaking this rule. This is how we do it. The Leong family, from different parts of Sabah, got together at our studio. We shot this and they loved it. Imagine having one of these at your home :)
