It’s official – Miss Fenicia Chin is the winner!

The young Sabahan student beat 62 other contestants to win our “Who’s The Coolest” Facebook contest. The contest was open to all who walked up to our booth for their FREE Glamour / Executive shot at the June’s Property Investment & Home Expo (PIHeX) 2012. We gave them free makeovers, took their portraits and posted the best shot of each on Facebook. We asked everyone to vote – who do YOU think is the coolest??

Fenicia won with a combined vote of 460! – 273 for her “Before and After” shot, 187 votes for her portrait. The person with the second most votes garnered 221 votes, 75 for her “Before and After” shot, 145 for her portrait.

Why did you sign up for the executive shoot with Louis Pang Photography during PIHeX 2012?
I’ve always wanted to have a glamour shot taken but never dared try. This time, when I saw the Louis Pang Photography set at the expo, I told myself to give this experience a try, to take a chance.

Do you have any prior experience being photographed? If you do, can you tell me about it?
We went to the bridal studio for a family portrait when my sister got married seven years ago. It was a boring process…. nothing special.

Do you have any concerns about having your picture taken?
I usually don’t trust this “free photograph” set-ups. They sometimes come with terms and conditions that require me to buy things.

When you stepped onto the set with Louis, what was going through your mind?
I’ve been to a modelling course before so I knew a little bit about posing. I know I have to be natural but with Louis, he not only made me comfortable enough to be natural, he brought out my true self.

I used to smile for the camera. This is the first time I look “cool” like that.

When you first saw the before-and-after photo, what was your reaction?
I’m surprised that looking “cool” and not smiling for the camera can look this good! And how different I look with that kind of make-up. I love how this experience has brought out another side of me. It’s still me.

Fenicia, congratulations! You’ve won a one-hour free portrait session at our studio and a RM500 product voucher. What will you do with it?
I’m coming back to Kota Kinabalu in December, this is the final year of my Education course. Take a family portrait??
