In One Tender Moment…

July 13th, 2012 | Portraits

When Rosmili Tati came in to preview the photographs she and her family took in the studio two weeks earlier, she gasped. This picture of her and her husband, James, holding their 6-month-old baby daughter had hit a very sweet spot.

“I think this photo… captured a moment here. I’ve never seen the baby, and me, my husband… looking like that…” a visibly-moved Rosmili seemed lost for words.

That’s saying a lot because Rosmili works as a branch operations & service manager at an international bank in Kota Kinabalu. Her job entails meeting and talking to prospective & existing customers nine hours a day, five days a week. Work begins the moment she gets in the office – whew!

“I didn’t know the camera was snapping away. We were holding Rosebel and I just looked up & smiled a little. Didn’t know it’ll turn out like this,” she said. “I really like it!”

Rosmili is busy both at work and home, she’s mum to four beautiful children, aged 9 years to 6 months. “Our family loves taking pictures, we’ve got lots of them in our phones. But we’ve never taken our family portrait in a studio before,” she revealed.

So one fine Saturday morning, Rosmili, James & their gorgeous kids took a break from their favourite weekend getaway – the cinema – and headed for the studio instead. After an hour of laughing, giggling, playing and getting turned upside down, Rosmili exclaimed, “Fun!! Now I know why you asked us to bring toys and extra clothes!”
